Open the center console, there is a bucket in there, pull straight up on it and it will pop out of the console "frame". There is a open hole under it, there is clips on the sides of the CD disk case holder, push on it with a flat head and it will pop out.

The light that illuminates the shifter position is out. Its an automatic transmission.

In the console shift, it is a light bulb in a holder.

Open the center console lid, and in the indent for the console cover / trim panel, pull up. The entire silver/gray colored cover ( where the cup holders are at ) will lift off.
You will see the light holder under the console trim plate ( the silver trim ring ).

Dodge Center Console

When I told you to lube it, I was assuming you were talking about the cup holder in the center, lower part of the dash, if I was correct then the proper way to open it if its working properly is the push in on it and then it should come down to expose the cup holders. To close it you lift it and push in on it to lock back in the upright position.

You were speaking of the cup holder correct?
