Here is the manual for the charger - note on page 2 the meaning of the problem you describe - time to replace batteries (depends how old they are)

That being said, check the videos out, perhaps can get it to work after all for a while longer.

Not sure if I'm posting a second time, forgive me if so.

it does sound like a hardware problem, is it under warranty? I'd have it checked and possibly get repaired for free.

My portable dvd player won't come on

1) you must test the charger AC for DVD PLAYER, if working try to put in another DVD player, you must use the Vom FOR to measure the output voltage dc.or replace the charger.
2) if you are using batteries change batteries, clean the contacts batteries, with contacts cleaners, retight the spring contacts batteries for a good contacts.
3) if doesnot work, the problem is the power supply the trafo, filter, diode zener, bridge diodes, IC regulator voltage. etc. go to the repair shop TV for fix it.
God bless you

Hi there, I don't want to buy another dvd player, I would like to know how do I change the codes on a Panasonic-S54dvd player so that it can play all Regions?

This may or may not work i found it on a form and if it does not everthing other than this is a nightmare to get to work or you have to buy things

1. Remove any DVD discs from the tray/unit.

2. Switch off the DVD player and unplug the power cord.

3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord.

4. Turn on the DVD player with the supplied Samsung remote and wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc' or the Samsung logo before you do anything else.

5. Press Enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response to you doing this.)

6. Press the following numbers in sequency using the supplied Samsung remote unit's keypad -

8, 4, 2, 6, 9 (omit the commas shown here)

(Again, there will be no on-screen response to this action.)

7. Press Enter on the remote. The DVD Player will automatically shut off.

8. Now, turn the DVD player on.

9. When it is on and showing the "no disc" or Samsung logo, turn it off again.

10. Repeat this action by turning the DVD player on, then off again.

11. The DVD Player should now be Region-free.
