replace batteries , and clean contacts batteries very well. However if toruchscreen not work, you must open the r.control and clean the keyspads very well from oxide, etc use contacts cleaner and fix it. Try again. If the problem persist, you have a Syscom faulty. God bless you
I bought a RC3200 programmable remote after my dog chewed the origional unit. £30 off ebay, works a great. It comes preprogrammed for all Marantz units. Only problem is that it is a bit hard on batteries.
Hello, this is Vincent from Total Control Remotes - www.totalcontrolremotes.com. We program a lot of Marantz remotes as well as others and the problem could be a result of many different factors. It could be the programming or a physical reason. My suggestion is to send us the configuration file, we will take a look and confirm that the remote programming is not a problem. We can walk you through a variety of troubleshooting steps with the equipment once we have determined that. There is no real answer however until we do our homework.

If you only let the LCD screen stay on a max of 60 seconds, the batteries will last longer. No the software update will not resolve the battery issue... only thing that will is 2 sets of rechargable batteries and changing the screen on time.
Personally I avoid these remotes like the plauge too many issues and it doesn't work for most all devices like a $7 GE universal remote will... but heck it sure does look COOL!
