This did the job. When you plan to do this yourself, you can do it. Just take your time and read every step. I will let you know if the reassembly works when the card arrives. Thanks.

Dell XPS 600 beeping noice

there are 2 things that can cause that, memory failure, or mother board, cheeper route to go would be replace your memory first, and see if that corrects the problem, if not then, check anything new you installed inside such as video card, lan cards, of something like that, if that doesn't work you need to have it looked at and possibly the mother board replaced,

XPS 1330 screen turns black

My first guess is that your video card is starting to go bad. My second guess is the processor needs to have its heatsink reseated. If it is under warranty I would have dell repair it so you don't incur the charge of a new video card.

you need the video drivers to your video card.

You can find the drivers at Dell.com and use your Service tag number to find all your drivers :)

Need to replace video card in Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 PC Notebook. Dell wants $ 750.00 + -, Is there a less expensive card I could use. I don't need a high performance card. I am certain it is the card...

No they change out the whole motherboard and in saying the its invasive and costly and there is no way you can buy a video card for a laptop there all on the motherboard.

Upgrade card

Well, these are the minimum specs for Age of Conan:

OS: Windows Vista/XP
Processor: 3GHz Pentium IV
RAM: 1GB RAM
Video Card: Shader Model 2.0 and 128MB RAM: NVIDIA GeForce 5800 or ATI 9800

These are the specs of your computer (base):

  • Intel Pentium 4 550 (3.4GHz) Processor
  • 1GB PC2-4300 DDR2 Memory
  • Two 74GB WD SerialATA Hard Drives in RAID0 Drive Array
  • 16x DVD+/-R and 48x CD-RW Burner Optical Drives
  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Audio
  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Graphics Card with 256MB
Seems to me that you are okay. Would a faster computer be better? Of course. But as you are, the game should play alright. Upgrading to an 8 series Nvidia is worth the change, though.
