The printer woll not print photos, otherwise OK

Hp deskjet f4180, serial number CN7C48Z1K8.the printer will not print photos via my desktop. all other functions work properly.I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, checked USB connection and all other recommended functions.the laptop is a new ACER which works all other functions correctly. can you please suggest what I may not be doing correctlymy name is Peter Hamilton-Gray, residing in the Algarve at present

Normal 0 Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

It says E in the small display screen it has and
Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Reconnect the AC power.
Turn the printer on.
Start the HP Support Tool software on your computer, and check the ink-levels on the printer -- no ink means no printing.

Do the lights blink in a specific, repeating, pattern?

Have you looked at http://support.hp.com and entered your model-number, and looked at the "common trouble-shooting" suggestions?

After refilling my hp deskjet f4185 cart it gives error message why so
Try putting in a DIFFERENT cartridge first then back to the refilled one.

HP tried forcing one to install new by imbedding a serial number in the cartridge read by the printer. Once you temporarily change to a different serial number it will accept the old again.

As this kind of scenario will occur if the ink will just be replace by a refill ink.

Has stopped printing but when i check i have a stack of stuff waiting to print why
I also recently had problems with my HP printer. I called the tollfree HP number, and was advised by the technician to try a "cold restart"'. This simply means to unplug the power cord and replug it , after a few seconds. It solved my printer's problems and I hope it works for you , too.
