Question about JVC GR-DVL100 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I am having an issue with my mini-dv camcorder. When I turn it on it tells me that the unit is in SafeGuard mode. There is also a number E04 on the screen. Please let me know if you have a solution. Thanks.
This is a common failure with this generation of JVC. The E04 indicates a failed data communication form the head drum with the micro. It most frequently is resolved by solder rework of the drum fpc cable connector on the appropriate board. Not a job for an amateur. Good luck, magic seadog
