Gaggenau oven won't heat on convection setting

My Gagganeau is about 14 years old model EB876-600 but now the oven heats on regular electric settings, but when you put it on convection settings, no heat occurs. Food does not cook at all on convection.

This could be due to more than one cause selector switch faulty elements faulty. however this would mean both elements gone - there is one at the top and one at the bottom also worth while looking at the wiring to the convection elements. does the thermostat neon come on when convection is selected?

I have a Gaggenau EB 294/295 doulble wall oven that is heating very slowly. It's generally used on the convection setting. I've read that this could be a faulty temp sensor? I wanted to rule out failed...

high-end appliances like Gaggenau need professional service. They are made complicated!

both ovens are fan assisted. The manual says the top oven is heated by the broil element ($168.00), but it lies as the fan also has an element around it (not available!). The bottom oven element is a secret, but my guess is that it is around the fan in the rear and the parts list confirms. Both can be checked with a test meter. The temperature sensor not quite so easy and is $131!.

I self-cleaned the convection oven on my sc302tw, and now it does not heat on any settings, convection, bake or broil. It is 14 years old.

Looks like the sensor has tripped... on my Bosch oven, I opened the back. Connected to the thermostat is a switch with a little button which pops out to prevent the oven from overheating... push in the button to reset it and it should work

Dacro Wall oven (electric) does not heat past 345 degrees on bake or convection bake but broiler works and bottom oven works fine (for bake, convection bake and broil).

it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area

What is the best setting for my viking on a 14 pound turkey, bake or do i use the convection broil?

Hi,

Use the regular bake setting.... run the oven at 350.... the 14 lb. bird will take about 4-5 hours.....convection moves air and can tend to dry out the bird...
