The error code 8 with the checkmark is an indication of a paper jam. Hopefully, if you remove the paper tray and remove the toner assembly you might see something in the path. You may also try using a can of compressed air to blow anything out of the paper path. There are a couple of plastic spring loaded sensors in the path too. Be careful. This machine is old and next to impossible to find parts for. Wish you luck. Hope this helps...

Does anyone know what the error code 8 with a checkmark or lightening symbol next to it means. My copier starts as if it is going to work, but stops when it gets to the pulling up the paper from the bin phase and gives me this error code. Please help. I have a 3-in-1, but it doesn't work nearly as well as this old copier. Thx.
