Cell but it is not reading the memory card

I have a 2G micro SD memory card for my cell phone. When i went into my tools to set up for the memory card it tells me there "card not available, insert card". So I cannot even format it because it cannot read it to begin with. Is the card itself bad?

Check your manual to see if your phone supports 2gb's. It might only support 1gb or less. Hope that helps.

Micro SD Slot in My LG Rumor 2 isn't reading Micro SD Card

hello, kindly check if it is inserted properly, you will see a directive arrow on the memory card to show you how it is to be inserted,if after you have inserted it correctly and it still does not sees it,i would suggest you suspect your memory card is corrupt if their is any message displaying on your mobile phone screen, and if it does not show any message like memory card corrupted, then you will have to visit a mobile phone repair expert to help you change the memory card slot, after this your mobile phone will now read your memory card.

kindly rate this solution if it's helpful,

take care.

Got a new memory for my phone it is a nokia 6300 and the memory card is a 4gb sd micro card and it keeps saying card not formatted wot can i do to format it i have tried on the computer but it is still...

Most likely the phone that doesn't read it and the SD card reader can read "SD" cards but not the "SDHC" that a 4G card will be. All SD cards 4G and above are SDHC, and a plain SD card reader will not read this card.
Buy an SDHC reader, and get a smaller (up to 2G) card to use on the older phone that can't read the 4G one. Hope this helps.

I have a 4GB PNY micro SD card for my cell phone. I cannot get my pc to read the card to download pictures stored on it. I am using the adapter. What am I doing wrong?

Your pc may not be able to read the 4G. Older readers are limited to the 2G sticks. The 4G is SDHD (High density) and you have to get a newer reader/usb reader.
You can test this by taking it to walmart and see if it will work in their printer.

I can not get my pictures on my sd card

Can you describe in more detail what you are trying to do, step by step, and how the process is failing?

I have uploaded and downloaded pictures from my micro-SD card, both while it is in the phone, using a USB cable and setting the phone to "Menu | Settings & Tools | Tools | USB Mass Storage". Then the phone and the micro-SD card appear on my (Windows) computer as a removable drive, and I can just copy files in either direction.

I am also able to remove the micro-SD card, and plug it into an SD-card slot on my computer (with a micro-to-SD card adapter), and it mounts as a removable drive that way, too.

Note: if you have the micro-SD card in the phone, and you want the pictures you take to be stored on there so you can download them in one of the ways I've described above, then be sure to go into "Menu | Settings & Tools | 9. Memory | 1. Save Options | 1. Pictures" and set this option to "Card Memory", or else your pictures will get saved in the camera internal memory, and not on the card. This may be your problem if you are not seeing the pictures you expect on your memory card when you look for them. If you take Videos and/or Sounds, you might want to set those "Save Option" to the Card Memory, too.

Turn off write protection on a sd micro card

There's a little slide thing, on the side of the big chip that the little micro sd slides into. Just slide it and bam.

I'm having trouble with my 2GB micro SD Card

You have to format your micro SD memory card with your phone first before you can download files to it. With the micro SD memory card in your phone.
1)go to menu 2) go to settings & tools 3)go to memory 4)select card memory 5)***SELECT OPTIONS*** ---this will ask you if you want to format your card select YES, if there is a phone password it would be your last 4 digits of your number.

Now eject the memory card from you phone. Now when you put the memory card to your computer you should see the sub menus...my pics..my videos...my music...my sounds. Now all you have to do is just click and drag your music and photos to these folders.

Then when you add the memory card to your phone it will see all the music, photos, etc...
