Have you tried manually changing the channel from the set itself? I have a sanyo that goes into "sleep" mode and I find if I change the channel manually, not w/ the remote, it will come back on.
The 7 blinks means that the SC scan drive board might need to be replace but only after checking the voltages from the power supply. If the voltages from the power supply are normal, then proceed to replace the SC scan board.

My plasma tv is not working. The red power light blinks 10 times and that is all. Please help.
Same problem! I was watching TV and then the TV simply shut down, and the red light in the lower left corner started blinking 7 times. The TV is just out of warranty, of course, so it will cost quite a bit to fix. It will also be a real pain to repair, since this is one heavy TV. Right before the Superbowl, as well. I remember not too long ago when TVs never broke! No more Panasonic products for us, ever!!!
