Phillips Home Theatre mx5060d no reading disc

I have Phillips Home Theatre mx5060d that includes radio tuner. Radio works fine, but now when I put a cd, dvd or any kind of disk in it gives me an error message saying: NO DISC. I already tried cleaning the lens with a cleaning CD. Any help with this problem will be appreciated.

It is not always a bad pick-up assembly. If the spindle motor is weak, seized or plattem hight is off this kind of error will be evident. Clean all your discs in a inner to outer pattern and not in a radial pattern. Radio interferenece is also a cause. Reorient unit to a different part of the room or room to see if the problem persists. Do not use compressed ai to lcean an optic assembly due to further fogging and contamination.

Your pickup is bad. Take it to a servicer for replacement or try to find one online.

Panasonic DVD Home Theatre not reading

Make sure the tray is clean - no debris on tray If the disc is misaligned slightly it will spit it out
Make sure you are not putting them in upside down
and lastly find a new disk (not home made one) and see if this one works
Disks get damaged much easier than people realize\
If nothing works you have no choice but use a proffessional

My Panasonic Blu-Ray Home Theatre System Model sa-bt207 unable to read any disc, music or DVD. How do I solve it, never really used the disc part before, is the laser just dirty?

Firstly I would run a Disc cleaner before I did anything else. They are cheap and effective. You can usually find them in computer or electronics stores(Radio Shack for instance)

Installing a LG Network Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home

YOU NEED TO CONNECT OPTICAL CABLE (NOT INCLUDED) TO OPTICAL1 CONNECTION ON YOUR HB405 AND OPTICAL OUT OF YOUR TV. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE DONE THAT TRY PRESSING SIMPLINK BUTTON ON YOUR TV REMOTE NAD CHANGE THE SPEAKER OUTPOUT FROM TV TO HT(HOME THEATER).

No tuner output

Some home theatre receivers will not output sound until you ( LOCK INTO ) a radio signal, be sure you have a antenna connected and are receiving a strong signal. Unlike the older model you would receive static sound until you found a station.

Tuner Omits No Sound - Onkyo TX-SR605 7.1 Channels Receiver

Make sure your receiver is hooked up to proper AM and FM antennae. Try switching to AM, scan stations. If you hear AM static and/or weak signals the problem could be antennas are not hooked up. FM has AFT which blocks out weak or noisey stations and you wont hear anything without ant.

Denon AVR-X2400H Intermittent Protection Mode on startup Apologies for the incoming wall of text. Whenever my Denon AVR-X2400H receiver has been off for several hours most regularly in the morning, it will often go into protection mode on start. This has been happening for months. After anywhere from a minute to 20 minutes, after many restarts/moving the unit around/swearing, it will start normally and function without issue for hours until the next long period of being off. It is the dreaded PRT: DC. During this period of protection mode, it will fail to start even if I disconnect everything but power. I have swapped the power cables, tried different outlets, and let it get plenty of airflow though if it were temp related it would be a different code / not happen on first startup. I even opened up the unit, disassembled it and looked for moisture/scorch marks/loose cables before re-assembling. I have performed a couple factory resets over the last couple months. I assume the intermittent startup nature hints at a failing but not failed part, but am not sure what to replace. I have access to an engineer friend / multimeter if helpful. It is well out of warranty, but there's a part of me that wants to believe it can be salvaged, especially given current AVR prices. Other things I have tried include leaving it in ECO/network standby. There was a period where spinning the source wheel on startup would cause the AVR to lock up but not trigger protection, after which unplugging/replugging would allow it to start normally. Not exactly scientific.
