Hey okay so you got this new TV and you have what's called an errand it's not a cable antenna it's called an air antenna so you need to go into the settings menu and after you hook up the antenna in position in your house somewhere then you need to go into the menu on the TV and settings and go to where the TV would normally use cable and change the setting to air after you do that you need to do what's called the channel scan with takes like 10 minutes and then after that you will be able to watch TV can I help you hey what's up
there are no analog over the air channels, only digital ones, there should be an input button, maybe even an antenna select button on your remote, or in the set-up menu using the buttons on the front of the tv. there may also be a seperate connection in the back of your tv for cable, or over the air antenna
You need to go into on screen TV tuner/channel scanning setup page and change the signal source from CABLE to ANTENNA so it will scan again to pick up off the air signals. Please read the TV user manual for more details.
What is the model number of the TV?
well yes and know...let me explain.at theshop this is a very common occurence that we see alot... this connector is atached to a thing called a tuner. the tunner is what the tv use to select the channel. withhout this you cant change channels what can be done is atach a vcr and then use the rca inputs.. you will have to change channels using vcr.some cable boxs do this also again chaning through the cable box. this can be repaired depending how much damage has been done our shop ussaly charged around 85 dollars to repair the connector.
Could be bad reception and or make sure the tv which was in the cable mode when you had cable now needs to be in air or antenna mode. IF you have another tv that works ok then you will know the channels just need to be reprogrammed for over the air signal. Go into the menu of tv and find program channels and switch to air or it might say antenna..
