Paper Jams I am having an ongoing problem with my fax machine. It is constantly getting a paper jam. It is making the paper look like an accordian or fan. The paper always is getting hung up on the left side (If you are looking at it from the fron) of the machine. Any ideas. Thank you

Take out the paper tray- and examine- the paper pickup on the jamming side. Do the same internally looking at the paper feed track. If you can get a vacuum nozzle and have a good suck out. It is all most certainly paper debris in the feed . Also take a look at www.fixyourownprinter .com

Why is my fax machine jamming all the time

Dear
If paper jam always, check the thermal ribbon correctly installed (the ink coating face upward and should above the print head)

If document jam always, check the ADF roller (white roller clean it)

Paper jams in back of machine?

you have an obstruction either a piece of paper between the rolllers or the secondary feed rollers are not turning.... open the machine and follow the feed path ...take a piece of paper and manually feed the paper with the machine in the off position look at the feed rollers then the secondary rollers( usually two small rods with rubber sleeves kissing each other ...if you can look at the sides on the machine( inside the cover) see if the gears ( usually white ) can turn or mesh correctly... if you do not see any obstruction then these rollers are not turning when they are supposed to when you press the print button. 90 percent of these problems are paper jams if no jam something is not activating the feed rollers

Paper jams as its feeding from the tray into the machine

Start with the paper itself. Make sure it is in the machine properly. Here is a short guide on a few things to check:

Constantly getting paper jams

where the paper comes out there is a rubber roller that roller must be cleaned to get to that roller open the back cover then you will see the fuser cover that cover just drops down then you will see a white plastic remove that plastic by removing two screws at each side of the white plastic you do not have to open the rear part completely that white plastic sould come out if you wiggle it a bit you will have to take it out one side at a time then when that white plastic is removed you will see the rubber roller just clean that roller with benzine or alcohol. The machine gives you paperjams because that roller gets sticky over time.

Sharp AL1642 CS Copier Grinding noise and Paper Jams

Loud clacking sound, jamming in fuser ? sounds like the gear that turns the fuser are bad and not meshing together,
accordion jam is the fingers or claws that ride on the fuser roller are probably worn out ( these can be replaced usually 3-5 ).

You can buy the parts and replace them yourself if a handy person, not that difficult.

PAPER JAMS CONSTANTLY

Well, it might be theres something stuck in there. Pick it up and give it a few shakes. I work on printers, and not too long ago I found a wedding ring, paperclip, banana sticker and other things in printers. If that doesn't work, try going to staples and getting a laser cleaner kit. They're basically sheets coated to pick up any paper dust, or bits of paper that might be clogging the path

My suggestion is to take the printer to the highest floor in your building open a window and see if it can fly. or just use it as a $200 paper weight because after 3 months it has been to the shop 3 times and still is not working they way it should. Bad equipment bad support, and just plain bad product all around.
