Panasonic KX-FPG371 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax Logo

Question about Panasonic KX-FPG371 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax

2 Answers

Panasonic KX-FPG371 Can't make this device ring when call is being received. Played with all the settings and even restored settings to factory defaults. Line works (tested with another phone which rings), but just can't get this one set up--or it is broke. Ringer makes sound when setting the volumn. Was working until we move it to another location. Got the manual if that would help. Any ideas?

Thanks for looking into this and taking the time to post a solution. I've done all the "obvious" things--ran all the tests. This device works great in every aspect other than it won't ring on an incoming call. The fax works (out and in), the phone works (out and in, except it doesn't ring on incoming calls), the AM works (answers and takes messages), the copy function works (makes nice single copies). It is down to one of two things: the ringer is broke (but it "rings" when setting the volumn), or I'm missing a setting somewhere. I thought someone would know/remember what that setting it might be or where I might look in the manual or system menu.

Can you fax out? if not, look at the ports where the tel cord comes in from the wall. There are probably 2 ports. One labeled "line" or "wall" and the other labeled "tel" or "acc". MAKE SURE the cord in plugged into the "line" or "wall" port. If it is plugged into the other, you will still get a dialtone, but you will not be connected to the faxes modem. Hope that's all it was. If not let me know Ed

Call your fax from your cell phone and watch the display. If starts to take a message immediately then check the "rings to answer" setting. I may be set at zero. Other than that I just don't remember

    Sorry

I have a Panasonic KX-TG4133 cordless phone. How do I restore it to factory settings?

Try this
  1. Press the Menu soft key (middle soft key) at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select System Settings from the menu.
  3. Enter #136 on the keypad.
  4. Select Yes when asked if you are sure you want to factory reset the phone. The phone will be reset successfully after startup.

I have panasonic kt tga 101s phones that goes to voice mail after just 3 rings . How do I expand it to 5 rings?

KX-TGA101S is an add-on handset for a Panasonic KX-TG1000 series cordless phone system. One of the models that is compatible with the handset is the KX-TG1032S. You can find the manual for the phone system on the product page here: https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG1032S.html . Assuming that you do not have voice mail from your telephone provider, you can change the number of rings from the Answering Device Settings Menu.

Start with the phone system in standby (no incoming or outgoing calls) mode. Press Menu and use the up/down keys to navigate to Answering Device. Press OK to enter the sub-menu. Navigate to Settings and press OK. Navigate to Ring Count and press OK. Use the up/down arrows to choose a new number of rings. Press OK to save and press Off to exit the menu system. Note: if the ring count is set to Toll Saver mode, the answering system will pick up on the second ring if there are new messages. It will pick up the incoming call on the fourth ring if there are no new messages.

See page 31 of the manual for the KX-TG1032 for this information. See page 23 for the way to navigate through the menu and a list of the menu tree items. The current link to the manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg1031_en_om.pdf .

I hope this helps.
