Re:
The top cover or rear cover? The rear cover is usuallyr held in place with a small handfull of screws. You might have to slide the cover off some hooks when all the screws are removed. If you want the top of, you will probably have to remove the rear cover first, then loosen the top cover and slide it off, or slide it slightly then lift it off.
im talking about rear cover ?? do u have to tip it on its side and remove bottom screws then ??im talking about rear cover ?? do u have to tip it on its side and remove bottom screws then ??

There should be two plastic covers in the front bottom corners of the dryer. Remove the two small covers and then remove the two screws. You will be able to lift the dryer up and forward.
The motor tripped..The wiring diagram for the dryer is
inside the back cover tie-wrapped to the frame as it sounds like the motor has a trip on it: To reset the switch unplug
the dryer, remove the power cable and back cover completely.
two screws holding back cover are under the top cover which is held on
with two screws at the rear. Remove the screws then pull top cover back
and then lift it off. Remove last two screws and take off the full back
cover .
On the front of the motor you should see two white wires going into the
safety switch for the belt breaking. Push the button on the left to
reset the switch (you probably will hear a click)
Do not push the right button as that is what got tripped originally . Good Luck Tim
The front of the dryer should be able to come off..maybe with clips maybe a couple screws...first you will need to pop up the top of the dryer with a flat blade screwdriver, then you can look down the front cover to see if there are clips or screws...remove screws/clips to remove front cover and gain access to fan and components...the fan is usually attached to the main motor that turns the drum. you should be able to run the dryer with the front cover removed to see if everything is working.

Marty, you need to remove the front cover on these and most dryers by removing lower front kick panel screws, then remove the front cover and then you access the top cover screws to remove top cover then you can access th drum belt
you dont, you start by removing the front cover, then you'll see the screws to remove to take top cover off, then remove drum belt and drum and your inside the unit
you cant take back cover off, you remove front cover and then access the top cover then you can replace the belt, there is an access panel on the rear you may need to remove to put belt on motor and idler pulleys
if indeed you have an amana NDE2300, hter eshould be 2 5/16 screws across the lower bottom panel, after removing them 2 more screws will release the next bulkhead, and more screwws will become evident as you remove them
