Question about Hitachi 42PD6600 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television

Hitachi 42pd6600 I have had the above for three years with no problem. Yesterday the sound went i have retuned the set to no avail. any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem, but the solution offered on this site to another questioned worked for me, you may want to try thr following:-

Sound value’s have been lost in memory,
to reinstate
please do the following.
ENTER SERVICE MODE. MENU- 4-7-2-5.
Go to Audio menu.
Select Sound 2.
Re-instate the following
FM PRESCALE 15
NICAM PRESCALE AVL ON 35
SCART PRESCALE AVL ON 14
SCART VOLUME AVL ON 122
THESE WILL HAVE ALL DEFAULTED TO ZERO
GO TO STANDBY TO MEMORIZE

Hitachi lv46 no sound

Check it settings. If audio setting is wrong, this type of fault can occur. Make a factory reset to this set. Refer its user manual for details.

I have a hitachi 42ldf30ua lcd tv and when i connect the audio out to my surround system i am getting no sound the surround works if i connect directly to it but not though the tv i only have one audio...

I also can not connect my Turtle Beach x11 headphones to the Audio output on this TV - I have tried entering the code above but to no evail - sounds like there is a hidden problem here

No audio output available

if you want sound from normal digital tv you could try connecting audio jacks straight from the free view box. if you got a dvd player it will run sound through your free view also. your basicaly then just using your tv as a monitor and can turn the sound off altogether from your tv

This corruption of the NVM values are likely to have
been caused by the peripheral device connected to
AV1.
Connect that device to AV2 or if AV2 is occupied by
another device, swap AV1 and 2 over.
