Would anyone know how to open a Phillips 313923810941? Its a basic tapered remote for TV with the red, green, yellow and red buttons along top, underneath the power button. Pretty sure i can fix it if i could get it open. Have already taken the screw out.

The tv should have several hdmi sockets. If Phillips DVD has hdmi use that. If Phillips is old then you will have to connect it with the yellow, red and white outputs to the corresponding on tv.
To play you will have to push input button on remote and select AV.
Plug the red yellow and green plugs into the corrosponding color plug in your tv in "inputs". It may be in the back. Yellow is the video plug, red is the audio plug, and white is the mono plug. Plug the end of that into the Wii console. Finally, you mount the sensor bar on the top or below your tv. It has adheasive to make it stick. Center it in the middle of your tv. Plug it in and insert the Wii Sports disk. Change to the correct inputs for video games, I think Composite. That's all there is to it. Turn it on. A Wii scren should appear. Next you have to sync the remotes. The one that came with the game is done for you. With additional remotes you have to open the battery compartment on the remote and open the compartment on the Wii console. You have to press the red sync button at the same time on both items. Turn the remote on. The second remote should now work. Have fun with you Wii.
depends on what your tv is ill give u basic coax out from wall into cable box out from cable into vcr out from vcr into tv for better picture use red white and yellow from vcr to tv. for dvd use red white yellow out from dvd in to tv for better picture if tv has use s-video instead of yellow cable. for even better use red green blue(component)along with white and red for audio. if tv is hd and if dvd has it the very best is hdmi. you will only need one cable from dvd to tv instead of three or five sounds like a lot i know but take one step at a time youll get it
For the majority of phillips/magnavox universal remotes: Hold code search button down till red light satys on. Press the tv button and the red light should blink and stay lit. With the tv on, push the power button repeatedly until the tv turns off.(dont push the power button again after the tv turns off or it will go to the next code). Push the mute button to save the setting.
Usually this occurs when the Convergence ICs go bad along with some chemical fuses mounted on the deflection board. E994 usually blows along with the Horizontal out transistor going bad. This transistor, I believe is Q777 that usually goes bad. The fuses are either tiny little yellow fuse with a red band or green with a yellow band depending on your model number
