I don't know what is wrong with the camera.. I went to Texas for my brother's graduation from Air Force Boot Camp, (i saw something that said if its hot and humid it might malfunction.)Anyways, here are the symptoms: Plugged into computer, won't turn on. New batteries (three different rechargeable sets), won't turn on. New batteries (two different non-rechargeable sets), won't turn on. So I'm not sure why it won't turn on, if you figure something out please please please let me know A.S.A.P.

Re: Nikon Coolpix 4600 Digital won't turn on!!!!
Look through these there may be an answer.
I would go to the Nikon web site for tech help. sounds like a fundamental break down or short.
If the camera is young enough you may get a replacement - if you speak nicely.

The Brother PE540D only connects to Windows via USB. You can try to use Boot Camp to install a version of Windows after you purchase an appropriate licensed copy of the Microsoft software. See https://support.apple.com/boot-camp for details. Without knowing more about your Mac, I can't guarantee that this option will work for you. Windows 10 Home licenses are ~$120 for a full license version. (A full license of the OS can be transferred to another machine later but this may require a call to Microsoft. A cheaper OEM license is hardware locked.)
Probably nothing wrong. If it's as hot as he/you say, the humidity level is pretty high too. The mist (if you will) that he's seeing is caused by the high humidity and the extremely high temperatures. He needs to make sure that the air intake filer on the front of the unit is cleaned or replaced regularly. That will help the AC unit to keep up without having to strain to cool. If the unit is in the hot direct sunlight for 6 hours or more per day, he should consider installing an awning over that window. This will provide some shade and help to keep the AC unit cool. Also, have your brother make sure the condensation (water) pan under the unit is draining as it should and the weep hole is not clogged.
Welcome to Fixya. All digitals camera has a features of video recordings, however they have the difference when you try to review or watch it thru the camera itself. I have the same camera as yours, First I thought that my camera was damaged because I don't hear any sounds at all when I'm trying to view/watch my brother's gradustion day. When I try to transfer all the data on my computer, thinking that trying to re-format the camera will be the resolution for my issue to hear the sounds of my recordings. While listening to a music while reviewing my pictures on the computer, I heard a different sounds, then when I try to pause my music, I'm happy to hear that its my brother's video on his graduation.
The answer to your question if your going to upload your video on your computer, YES! you can hear the sounds of your recordings thru your computer.
It usually means that something went really wrong when starting windows the last time. If you restart your computer and it still boots into the safe mode then we need to investigate further. If there is a menu with different options while booting try selecting "last known good configuration" (may be not exact) and if this doesn't work then try to force "normal boot".
If it didn't help I need to know:
Is it Vista or XP, or something else?
Was there anything significant before it happened? Any error messages?
Does it show a menu with different options before boot? If so, tell me exactly what does it show.
