Main computer will not sign on for some odd reason to dsl account. But on my laptop, seems to work fine. What is the solution for this? Thank you.
If you have the router set to enable dhcp which gives your network cards an ip address automatically, then check that the network card of the main pc is set to obtain ip addresss automatically, this is in network connections, right click on network connection icon, properties and on the TCP/IP line click properties and check that 'obtain ip address automatically is ticked, apply and ok. Igf you have tried to repair the connection using wizard, then your settings will have been changed, thats possibly the problem. Also go into the routers settings and see if the main pc is listed under dhcp clients and that an ip address is given.
