Hello. My digital camera is actually a Pentax Optio A10. I was hoping you may know what is wrong with my daughter's camera. When she turns it in there is a white/greyish screen. We have charged the battery/camera in the cradle base and the screen continues to be the same when turned on. Also, when we try to shut the camera off it will not shut off immediately and it takes a few minutes to shut down on its own. This camera was a Christmas gift and she doesn't use it as much as she should. Could it be the battery? The battery says it is a Pentax rechargeable lithium battery. Can these batteries be purchased at any camera battery store? Thank you for your time. I appreciate it! Diane
The battery should be a common format with a Pentax label. There is a possibility it could be card fault. But before you rush out to buy a card[not a bad idea to have two cards though] Contact Pentax Tech Support site - this may be an on going issue- and the camera is young enough to be swapped under warranty.
