remove the radio from the dash and attched to the radio chassis is a code number decal. Email DaewooUSA with your radio code and VIN number. They will supply the radio code

How do you remove it without the levers

I had this problem in my 05 GT at about 50K miles, and had to get the stereo replaced. (It was covered by my extended warranty.) They have to send the old unit back to the factory to get the CDs out but will get them back to you when in a week or 2.

Most new car-stereo's don't have an "oldschool" CD-drive, but really a CD-ROM drive; meaning that they won't (properly) read and/or play copy-protected CDs.

Most CD protections are specially designed not to work in CD-ROM drives to prevent copying. As a side-effect most of those protected CDs won't work in car-stereo's.

Try a CD without copy-protection (like an homemade audio CD using burning software on your computer) and see it that works ?

In case that doesn't work either, your car's CD-drive is probably broken ...

just replaced my 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Monsoon 6 CD changer with an identical model pulled from a totaled car.How do I reprogram it so it works on my car.

I had the same problem with a different CD player. It turned out that there were 2 CDs in the player.It is only meant for one. I had to use a flat plastic spoon handle to gently lift the cd up and I saw there were 2 cds in it. I removed the player and took the cds off. it fixed the problem.Somebody must have put in another CD on top of the other one. I couldn't figure it out for a while. Maybe that's your problem too.
