I have given up on the color cartridges in this printer and only want to use the black. Any color image prints in pink (magenta) only. Is there any way I can avoid having to select "grayscale" every time? Also, I am having problems with printing from one FileMaker database (others work fine). On other printers everything comes out black that is supposed to, but on this i560 it all prints pink. Selecting grayscale doesn't help in this case--it still prints pink! Any suggestions? Ann
Usually 'black' or greyscale uses all colours to get a true black in many printers. Check you particular printer manual and soft ware to see if it allows for black/grey only. You could experiment [I don't know this particular printer] by putting black carts in all slots [If it is a chipped cart you may have to consider swapping the chips on the carts if removable. Some specialist ink firms[Lycos] do supply monochrome sets for certain printers - check them out. Also take a look at www.fixyourownprinter.com
