There are players that wont play files that are not match with its standard. there are players that only play 128kbps encoded files. try downloading songs encoded on different bit rates, and look for the ones that the player can detect and play.

Deleting music sony nwz-s616f mp3 player

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. When the player is connected to your computer you can add and delete the music files. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. I am trying to download music I purchased on itunes to my mp3 player. It shows it on the list when I have it on the computer, but does not show or play on the actual mp3 player. What do I do>

Hi dasdis07...

You did not say what manufacture your MP3 player is so it is hard to tell you what to do.
I will assume you have a normal MP3 player...not an Ipod.
Check to see what format your MP3 player will play...because the I-tunes songs are in ACC.
Normal everyday players play MP3,WMA,ect...but will not play ACC that plays on ipods.
You will also need to download (FREE) and run a media converter so that you can convert your ACC music files to MP3,WMA,etc files that will play on your MP3 player.
Once you have your music converter and on Windows Media Player, then you can transfer them to your MP3 player
What your going to have to do is follow these instructions below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

How do you load music on it and where do you get the music?

to load music you need to have Windows Media capabilities, I use my CD's and transfer them to my MP3, u can also use the Ipod card and down load music that way.
open the Windows Media and make a play list of what you want on your MP3 in the order you want cause that is how it will play
Plug in the MP3 click the play list and click Sync tab (the down arrow ) there will be an option to sync " the name you give the playlist" to "HS UB Flashdrive" click this and it should start to down load music to mp3.
another option if you don't have the windows media once you have music(cd's) saved to your computer is to plug in MP3 and open the USB file that is your MP3 there should be a folder called music if not make one then just copy and paste the music into this folder.

What is the purpose of an SD card?

You can use an SD card for extra storage space. If you want to add a map and it won't fit on the satnav you can first download the map to your computer and then install it to the SD card using garmin's mapinstall program. You can also use an SD card to store mp3 music or photos to play on your satnav.
