Dirty
print out is basically due to cartridge related issues. Take out the
cartridge and clean its drum/ (green roller) with a dry, soft,
lint-free cloth. The drum is usually located under a cover. Checkout
for any spilled toner inside the printer and clean it also. Print a few
pages so that the parts get further cleaned. I think, this would solve
the issue.
Moreover, streaks
(thicker lines) and dots etc indicate faulty PCR Roller which is located behind the
green drum inside the cartridge. Cartridge or get
the PCR Roller changed by a professional.
Let me know if any further clarification is required. GoodLuck! Dont forget to appreciate the solution if I could have been of any help! CreativeTECH
Hi ,
Dirty
print out is mostly due to cartridge related issues. In this case it seems that magenta is the issue. Take out the
cartridge and clean its drum/ (green roller) with a dry, soft,
lint-free cloth. The drum is located under a cover. Checkout for
any spilled toner inside the printer and clean it also. Print a few
pages so that the parts get further cleaned. I think, this would solve
the issue.
Moreover, streaks
(thicker lines) and dots etc indicate faulty PCR Roller which is located just
behind the
green drum inside the cartridge. Try cleaning it or replacing the Magenta Cartridge. If required, get
the PCR Roller changed by a professional.
Let me know if any
further clarification is required. Hope it helps! Good Luck! CreativeTECH

You didn't say that you swapped out the toner. Let's come back to that point later.
Put paper in the manual feed tray. Print something. As soon as the paper feeds halfway into the printer, open the top cover. Pull out the toner, look down at the paper. Is it mostly black? If the answer is yes....replace the toner. Vacuum out the inside of the printer and print again. I think you have a bad toner cartridge
Geez, a real oldie. If you pull down the back door, I think that you can see the fuser. It's been a long time, but let's see how this goes. The back of the fuser, I think pulls down. If it does, look at the rollers inside. There are two of them. Do they look dirty or torn? If yes, you need a fuser. Run a 1/2 print test. Send a print job to the printer. It has to be about 4 pages. Use the manual feed tray, so that you can watch. When the sheet of paper gets 3/4 of the way in, open the top cover. Pull out the toner and look down at the paper. Does it have the black splatter? If yes, replace the toner cartridge. If no, replace the fuser.

Do a "half test". Print a few pages, as the printer prints open the top cover. Pull out the toner and look down at the paper. If it has the gray cast, you have a bad toner cartridge or a bad transfer roller. It could also be a dirty ground. Try vacuuming out the inside of the printer especially around the transfer roller.
Thanks for using FixYa. Toner sensor error is related to the agitator inside the toner cartridge, it occasionally falls out of its housing so it does not move the toner sensor which is the white plastic piece that moves up and down on the coloured handle, the toner sensors themselves see this white flag if it doesn’t move then the printer thinks the sensor is broken so toner sensor error is flagged and if the flag moves too quickly the machine thinks the toner is empty. To resolve the issue your printer is facing with please check that toner lock lever is in position and follow the following procedure---
Press the cover release and open the printer’s top cover fully. Make sure the Toner Cartridge in question is correctly positioned and the right hand clip is pushed back. While holding it by its top centre, lift the image drum, complete with its toner cartridge, up and out of the printer. On the Right hand side of the toner look for a sensor patch, make sure this is not dirty. If it is dirty clean it with a soft object such as cotton wool. Now look inside the printer opposite to where the sensor patch would sit. There is a black square with a sensor located inside and check that this is not dirty. Now replace the drum and toner, and close the printer cover. Try to print a test page and it will start printing normally.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Does the dirty background get lighter as you print additional pages?
Have you tried a new cartridge yet?
Unless your toner cartridge is leaking toner (you?ll see toner on the inside of the printer or leaking out if you remove the cartridge and shake) a simple cleaning is probably not the answer. Let me know and we'll pick up later.
