Why won't the Samsung Authorised Dealer repair the board? It's not that difficult!
There will be a power fault and the picture is not "building" properly. At worst it will be one of the memory chips.
With a reflo soldering machine, no problem.

Pioneer SD-532HD5 - Picture Bowed on sides only on 1080I

The problem you are describing is known as a pincushoin problem. I'm a bit surprized that you only see it on the 1080i signal though. I've inquired at my Pioneer contact about this and will update this soon.

Stay tuned...

Our screen went black no picture only sound

Try a hard restart, which simply means unplugging the power cord of the TV, and replugging it after 4 hours have passed. If this does not bring the picture back, then you should consider buying a new TV. The costs of a repair ( labor and parts) might exceed the cost of a new TV. Your 10 year old TV has served you well, and has exceeded the average life expectancy of 5 years. May it rest in peace in TV heaven.
