When I try to push speed button to power on the unit shuts off. I then have to use a paper clip to reset. The green light comes on, so I indicate power. The ac adapter light is on. When I push the power button on(left side of keyboard, it shuts off. I tried holding the button down, but it shuts itself off as soon as the contact is made and then I have to reset the unit with the paper clip in order for power to be indicated. Looks as if button on left corner does not feel right when I push down on it. Matman
When I open the screen nothing happens.I also attempted to use one of the speed buttons. Again, as soon as it is depressed everything shuts down. I have removed battery and checked charge(it is indicating full charge) tried it with just adapter plugged in and with battery out and still the same thing. It's as if the buttons short out the board. When I open the screen nothing happens.I also attempted to use one of the speed buttons. Again, as soon as it is depressed everything shuts down. This is a repair shop job- replacement key mt probably. If you are confident to dismantle- you could try Turn machine face down and remove bottom of case then carefully lift off parts including the keyboard board until the keyboard Mat is reached. This is a large silicone rubber sheet with indents for each key. Lift it off- leave the top of case screen where they are and in luke ward weak detergent water give the mat a wash Also clean clean the contacts on the board with just damp cloth/cotton wool. Thoroughly dry and re assemble. If you don't like the idea of dong this - then it is a repair shop job. This is a repair shop job- replacement key mt probably.

Have you tried to RESET it ? .... either, hold down the power ON/OFF button for a long while ... (e.g. 30 seconds or more) ... until the device starts up (then let go)..... or use a pin (paper clip) to push into the RESET hole at the bottom of the device.
Remove the battery and the AC adapter from the laptop.
Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds then let go
Plug the AC adapter only back into the laptop
Now press the power button on the laptop
If it now boots properly shut down the laptop and insert the battery
Now push the power button again
If it now fails you may have a bad battery
try removing the battery and just use plug power only if it boots normally then change the battery and the change the power supply unit as well I would just start with the power supply unit first then see if the battery charges up if not the battery is bad replace it. Now if the computer will not start with the battery removed then you have a power supply issue.
Change and replace it. Hope this helps. Also when computer lap top get hot they will shut down to protect the computer wait and let it cool down then try to restart your computer. If this does work and the lap top restarts normally get a fan cooler that is USB powered and the lap top sits on top of it. Also make sure the fan is running and is not stopped. Clean and dust it out once in awhile. I hope this assists you with your problem. John
try resting the router and also making sure your lap top or wireless desktop isn't the problem. To reset the unit - -unplug all but the power cord - straighten out a paper clip and find the tiny hole marked RESET - hard to see - then - with everything unplugged but the power cord and the unit turned on - push the paper clip end into the RESET for 10 SECONDS - then unplug the unit for 10 seconds and plug it in - turn it on and re attach all other cords as needed. Be sure your pc is plugged in to the first pug or LAN - this will make a difference if you have more than one wired pc on the network. If that fails - please =- find the disk or go online and call D-LINK - they are the best - the BEST -service EVER - of all the units for Tech-- the BEST .
Make sure that you leave the unit plugged in for two hours, and remove the sd card, if you have a card in it.
On the top or bottom of the unit is a usb port and a reset button, take a paper clip and open it, then put the paper clip into the little reset hole and push in for 30 seconds.
Turn on unit, hold the on button for 5 seconds, now turn off, now hit the reset button again as said above and then power on and run though your menu and see if this did the trick, if not you might have to send the unit in for repair.
Check the manual...blinking green light is normal. The unit is powering down cooling the lamp. It could have been a shut down command through pressing the off button by accident. If problem continues I would unplug tv and power on/off. Steady green. Next to the lights is a small indentation where you can reset the TV to the defaults. Take a paper clip ...power on..and put in the center. The green light will blink for a minute or two then go dark. THen power up.
tom tom kicked reset button[510]called customer assistance. use paper clip bent to a point turn unit upside down so ser# can be read you will see one gold ternimal on left side and about a dozen small terminals to the right just above last three terminals is a notch in plastic cover reset button is in middle of slot push with paper clip two or three times not overly hard.mine started working.when plugging to cig. lighter button kicked.easy fix hooray for TomTom.hope this helps.greetings from Music City.
Have you resetted the lamp timer ? It must be done when a new lamp is inserted into the unit.
You can reset the lamp timer by holding the up arrow key on the Projector in until a online message appears. Then just follow the on-screen instructions.
If the problem persists , you will have to replace the Ballast wich is the lamp's power supply.
remove the tomtom from the power source get a small paper clip and on the underside of the tomtom you will see a small pin hole it syas resetthe hole is where it looks like a sd card or something goes (but nothing goes there)
push that little reset button (in the hole) with the paper clip
