Screen flickering My Sony has recently began to flicker. Not a constant flicker does it at random times. only noticeable with a bright picture/video. Bulb was replaced about 6 months ago and minus the flicker its still as bright as it was when I bought it, so I don't think its my lamp.

A number of possible reasons--from brightness/contrast set too high to a issue with the power supply of the set--a expert would have to examine the set--you might want to call Sony to see if known issue with this model.

I did have my contrast set pretty high but it still flickers even at a lower setting.

Power supply was replaced not even a month ago, referb from ebay. Optic engine was replaced from a different set out of the same model, no issues with that. I'm thinking it may be with the control board or the one that controls the LCD's, The lamp itself is not flickering, I confirmed that today.

SOURCE: Sony KDS-50A2000 - bulb replaced but picture still yellow

Hi,It sounds like a light engine problem Sony is having.Basically the light of the lamp goes through tunnels that have mirrors that direct the lamp to 3 main LCD chips,These 3 LCD chips are blue, green, and red they blend to create the image and colors. When they start to fail you'll get color discoloration like what you are getting. You will need to replace the optical block because unfortunately they don't sell the LCD chips by themselves.GOD BLESS YOU!

SOURCE: blue haze and dull yellow patches on screen

The light engine in your set has gone belly up. It is a very expensive repair. Good news is that on a whole bunch of models like yours Sony has extended the waranty on the light engine. Check with a local authorized Sony service center and give them the model & serial number and you might get a free ride. If I were a betting man I'd take odds on 'you're in luck'. LOL

My Nava 13 inch tv/dvd the screen is constantly flickering. It worked great until i moved recently. Why is my screen constantly flickering - what can I do to make it stop?

It could be interference from something, so make sure there are no wires near the aerial lead.

Give it a sharp tap on the side or top.

Buy a new 46 inch Samsung!

This is an unknown make!

I have a 52 in. Sony HD ready rear projection tv and recently sometimes and I say sometimes because this happens randomly but the screen begins to flicker a green tint and then it shuts itself off and the...

Some of the early sets had this issue--they had bad picture tubes and set will turn rather bright red, green or blue and shut off.

The tubes for those sets (what model do you have?) are no longer available.

There may be a simple way to resolve this at least for some time depending on the model number--it will require no parts replaced and only a screw driver to adjust something in the set.

My camera's monitor/screen is black with no picture

My AIPTEK 1080p was powering on but the screen was turning off within one second of turning the unit on. I verified that the camera was still working and just the output onto the screen failed. I was able to resolve this by hooking the camcorder up to the TV and viewing the menus on the TV and then turning the camcorder off with the power button. I think this problem happened because I didn't do a "clean" shutdown the last time I had my aiptek hooked up to the TV. It is now working perfectly!

Flickering - Toshiba 62HMX84

it could be as simple as the tv feeding back on itself in a dark room.
it is adjusting the light level because of what it sees ambient in the room.
turn on a light near the tv and see if it stays constant now.

WEGA 36" : Screen is low contrast and green

Sorry to say, it sounds like a bad picture tube, But could be also the capacitor that filters the screen voltage on the crt drivers. In all my years though, your complaint has been the picture tube. Good Luck.
