Hello Dar123, a week ago I started having the exact same problem with my S7000. A white halfmoon appears on the top of the pictures (same as the image you posted). Things work well with the camera on video mode. I wonder if there is a problem with the shutter. The only different thing from normal use is that I had not used the camera for a month and kept it without batteries during that time. The problem started afterwards, with the first picture I shot. This is the first problem I have with the camera (about 6 years old). Did you have any response from Fuji? Please let us know. I will ask Fuji; I think I am still on an extended warranty. I'll let you know my experience.
Anybody else had this problem with this or other Fuji model?

Hello, I have exactly the same problem with the exact same TV, white screen for about 15 minutes and than image appears perfect as if nothing happened. I have asked an ebayer which sells TV parts and he suggested it could be a main board or tcon board. I am quiet hesitant to fix my tv, but if the tcon board would fix it, i'd go for it. Did You manage to solve the problem yet?
Hello - from a fellow Fuji user.
I'm assuming the pictures are looking OK on the PC when you download.
If so this will be a LCD fault.
If NOT and the downloaded pictures are the same on the screen and the PC , then it looks like a sensor problem (CCD chip).
I just did a quick search on the google.co.uk site and could only find 4 complaints , so it's pretty rare.
Try re-formatting the SD card just to eliminate that from the equation --
Plus there are S7000 forums to ask like
Hope this helps , but , if it's a sensor problem I hope it's still under warrantee -- Ray
I have the same problem, and upon looking into my problem, i recall reading that Sony had used crappy glue in which they attached the CCD to the inner guts of the camera, and when that deteriorates, which doesn't take very long, then your pictures will have lines through them.
I think i remember reading that Sony said they will replace all cameras within 2 years of their manufacture. Call Sony's troubleshooting and support and they may replace it for you.
i have the same exact problem with mine. it's two and a half years old as well. i also noticed that if you try taking pictures in any of the best shot modes the pictures come out looking like paintings.
Hello I have a similar problem... I have 3 years or 4 the camera and in this moment I go to realease a photo this morning and see a circle in the center. More or less the same.
thanks for all if you know anything
My friend and I both have the fuji finepix s7000. We bought the cameras within a week of each (May 2004). Last week my friends camera started doing the same thing you discribed. Yesterday my camera also started doing the same thing. I have been trying to contact fuji, but due to the blizzard I am unable to. I was wondering what ever happened with your camera. When did you buy yours and where. One of our cameras was bought at Best Buy and the other at Sears. It just seems funny that both cameras were bought at the same time and both broke at the same time.
