Maytag MDB4651AWW will not start. We've already replaced the door latch which was broken. Every button lights up except the Start button. Now what?

I had the same problem. The plastic wiring strip that connects the touchpad had corrosion from water. The panel would need to be replaced, because they don't sell the touchpad separately. (around $50 - $70 USD)

most likely you have a bad motor when replacing the motor ihave found it is cheaper to get the pump with the motor attached where as they charge you more money for just the motor or the pump seprately try allbrands appliance parts they seem to be cheaper

Hi

The control board seems to be bad and should be replaced. However, before replacing the board you can test the door switch located next to the control board, if it tests fine then replace the board. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Sometimes in some models if the pump has something in it the unit will not start. Check to see if your pump is clear.

Dryer won't start
If you look closely, there are 3 separate pins that must latch. One is a simple push-button style which latches no problem.
The others are little prongs at the top and bottom of door. The bottom prong latches cleanly, but the top one will not latch because the door is a bit too flexible.
Close the door normally, then firmly press on the top edge of the door. You will hear the final latch grab, then you press and hold the start button. The dryer starts normally.

If you've already tried to unplug the machine and that didn't correct the issue, the door latch assembly will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. The latch assembly is just not reading that the dor is shut properly even though it is.

It doesn't matter if it appears to work or not--it's not giving the correct signal to the control board after it locks to tell the control board that the door is latched and shut and ready to start the wash cycle. This is why you need to replace the latch assembly.

Latch on dishwasher was broken, we replaced it with new latch from Maytag store, after we assembled new latch the dishwasher would not work on start, all lights would work, only start button would not...
You'll need to check the ribbon cable between the keyboard and the circut board and any switches controled by the latch which is more likely the problem.Also look for a loose wire on or near these switches.

Check to see if the door is latched. If so, look at the latch and see if it is making proper contact. There is a microswitch that prevents the unit from starting if the door is not fastened closed.

Broken maytag door latch assembly Maytag quiet series 300: the latch is not working, door is closed and cannot open, seems something snapped inside, how can I open the door ? and change the broken part ?
To open this latch, the handle works as a lever to push inward when you push up on the handle. If your handle if broken, it has probably ceased to work as a lever (the pivot pins have likely broken). You want to push in on the handle to open the latch, ideally toward the bottom of the handle opening. Once you get the latch open, you'll likely want to order a replacement (here is one source : http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Door-Latch/W10130694/1266678 ). Remember to turn off the power to the dishwasher, and you'll need a star head driver to remove the screws from the inside of the door to access and replace the latch.
