TV wont come on.

I saw a solution to a problem I am having with my TV coming on. It says to replace the 4 caps in the standup shielded model. Where are the 4 caps in the standup shielded module located on the Mitsubishi WS-55513 Models.

Tv wont power up after replacing 6 caps 4 bad 2 looked good but were in series so replaced with larger voltage. mitsubishi wd 62725

That model will usually have 8 caps that require replacement on the Power board and also 4 capacitors on the DM board which will usually cause the Non stop blinking light symptom.

Someone gave me a dell w3000 tv and i hooked up the speakers and cable line and plugged in. the tv button turns on and green light comes on but no picture or sound

I have this tv, and have had the EXACT problem. my solution was simple. just need patience if you take the back cover off of the monitor, there are 2 boards on the outside edges of the left and right of the monitor. these boards are covered by metal shields. remove the 3 screws on each board shield and slide them off.(careful this can be tricky) on the boards are 2 capacitors that need to be replaced. 4 total, 2 on each board. the capacitors are 150uf at 35 Volts. go to your local electronics repair shop to get the parts and tools needed to do this repair.
make sure to get the polarity of these caps right. stripe side on cap goes to the minus.

Hi there, i have a Dell tv model W3000 lately the tv does not turn on at all,i know power is there but the tv does not comes on. sometimes it comes on but it does not last....if i turn the tv off it does...

This is the way all of these fail. Don't buy Dell TV's.
Try this internet posted solution.
Turn on TV with remote control, if the TV does not light-up, find the Main Power Switch. Turn the switch off, then turn it on, the TV lights-up. Probably caused by poor contacts due to age and low quality parts.

Phillips 19" flat screen

OK, I had the same problem and I fix it 100%.
The power board is ok, the lamps are ok, don't waste time there.
Just open the TV, remove the shield of the mainboard, and in the side where are the wires from the power board, there are many capacitors, check them, in my case 4 were "fat", exploded.
I had to change 9 to make shure, and that's all !!!

Blinking Light Problem on Ws-55513

If bad capacitors are the problem then replacing them will involve soldering.

If the problem is something else less visible then fault finding will be difficult without the proper service manual.

This will show the correct disassembly and test procedures.

Will not reset

4 caps in the standup shielded module get bulges on top--obvious failure. Replace them. Seen it many times
