Question about Uniden Radio Communications
I have the uniden bearcat scanner 800 xlt and it will power on and you can hear it search etc, but the green screen will not display
Download a schematic from modsdk.com or radio reference.com.Then change the two regulators in the back left corner.Should be a 78mo5 and a 78mo9.THE 7805 is the one usually goes out.

SOURCE: Uniden Bearcat BC 350A scanner won't pick up 800 channels
You BC350A provides coverage of popular bands between 29 and 512MHz, so it is not capable of receiving signals in the 800MHz range. Sorry, but you'll need a different scanner to follow the action.

SOURCE: Need help to repair 780 XLT Uniden..Scanner..
You can try a system reset (press and hold 2,9, and MANUAL while powering up), but chances are that the display is shot. You can try a local repair shop if you have one that you trust, but I recommend contacting the service folks at Uniden.com for a price quote on repairs.

SOURCE: how to program the frequencies
To program the majority of non-trunking Bearcat scanners,\:
- Power the scanner ON
- Press MANUAL to stop scanning
- Enter the channel # to program followed by MANUAL (OR just press MANUAL repeatedly to advance to the desired channel).
- Enter the desired frequency, including the decimal point.
- Press E (ENTER)
If these steps don't work with your scanner, please provide your model number and I'll get back to you with specifics.
