Microwave over oven starts but turns off in a few seconds when oven is hot.

what's sparking... is it by the Magnatron window... or the carousel?...
If there is a carousel... take it out...
if its by the magnatron window,,, then...houston... we have a problem...
might be contamination... and that may require opening up the unit... sorry...
hopefully it's only something floating around in there that's causing the arc...

This could happen because of a bad keypad . Just replace it and problem will be solved . I need you to think before replacing it . Because sometimes a new unit is better than repairing . Think it before !

alot of newer microwaves have a feature that if you are cooking on your stove and the bottom of the microwave gets hot it will turn the fan on to help protect the microwave. if thats not the case the you could have a faulty control
