thanks for responding. i don't know how to unblock the icmp in the router's setting. realtek wlan ap webserver doesn't show anything i can use to unblock icmp. i can't even locate icmp setting there.

i followed the link you gave me and all three ports i forwarded (tcp-5200, udp-5198, udp-5199) all doesn't have a service running.

i really appreciate your help. kindly extend a little more patience with me as i'm not familiar with these things.

Please go to the following website and check the port numbers that you have forwarded. Some wireless routers do have issues forwarding ports. Also, before you use this tool, make sure ICMP is not blocked in the router's settings; if it is blocked all ports would show blocked. Try this and let me know the results. Cheers

Brother, this would require a bit more effort from you side...See, this troubleshooting may require some more questions and answers and communicating using comments isnt really helping us.

Just go to the homepage of fixya and there is a link to initiate Free Live Chat...You can select Routers, PC Desktops or PC Laptops from the list in the next page and if you find me online, just initiate a chat with me and we would together get this resolved.

Howto gain access to CNET CWR-905 Wireless-N Router

This webpage has some information on the router, sorry I could not be more help but I am not familiar with this router.

After changing the ESSID and wireless password of CNET CWR-905, connection was lost. What could be wrong

Contact you provider to see if you can get the router configuration set to "Default so that you can gain connectivity again.
Changes in the router ESSId cause the router to change all parameters therefore locking the connection.
You can reinstall the router software and start from scratch to reset the router and enter a new ESSID password but I would get with the ISP and go through there setup procedure to ensure proper settings for their server. You probably missed something when replacing the password.
