Hi, I opened my Baumatic BDW5 dishwasher the other day and the was a worrying SNAP sound that came from the borttom left hinge. The spring has now gone (it won't spring up, closed) and the all the lights are flashing on the display and it won't do a wash.
I'd like to have a look and fix it myself but don't know of any technical documentation to show me what I should be looking for.. ..
Look for a Baumatic supplier online and phone for 2 new doorstraps. They are quite easy to fit yourself. The door should close properly after this and work. We have gone through many doorstraps on our machine, so we usually buy another spare set at the same time for future use. They are pretty cheap and should arrive by post in a week.

I feel for you! I have been tortured by the blasted wheels falling off every time I go to put something into the dishwasher, or want to empty it. To add to it all, this part is no longer available to replace, which I need to do as one of the clips finally snapped off. It is a highly frustrating design flaw in this machine.
Sounds like a dicky or jammed water level sensor. Get a qualified and licensed technician to check it out. The sensor and labour to replace it should only be around AU$50 or AU$60 dollars (excluding callout or pickup / delivery fees).
