Hi damodarbk:
it sounds like you need to replace the paper feed rollers.

Pick up roller rotates twice even if when gives single page print command and creates paper jam.

I do not know for sure on the Samsung but on HP's this problem is often caused by the pickup solenoid sticking. There is usually a foam bumper on the pickup solenoid which breaks down over time and then the adhesive stops the solenoid from releasing properly. You can clean it off all the old foam and adhesive and run without it, just make printer a little noisier. The solenoid will usually be on the right side.

HP Laser Jet 4250, print getting very light in last few months or year. 135K page count, 6 years old, 600 DPI, PCL 5 - Windows Vista HP Cartridge, or compatible cartridge no difference - still light No...

The laser mirror could be dirty, the transfer roller could need changing. Looking at the "print quality" sub menu, the toner density default setting is 3. Up it to 4 or 5. See if that makes a difference. Remove the cartridge and open the covers. Use canned air or an air compressor and blow out the printer.

When I try to print a page, printer does not pick up paper and then gives error message that printer is out of paper when there is plenty of paper in the tray. Sometimes if the printer hasn't been...

Hello.

From the HP site:

There could a problem in the pickup assembly area of the product. There are twoblack Mylar light shields approximately 3.5 inches long. They are located onboth sides of the pickup roller under the pickup roller rod. One or both ofthese black Mylar shields can be tucked under, or partially bent when removinga paper jam from the paper input tray slot.
Reposition the black Mylar light shields back into the proper position.
  1. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  2. Remove the paper and paper input tray.
  3. Slide hands, palms side up, into the paper input tray cavity until the fingertips reach the end of the cavity.
4. Bend fingers up to push theblack Mylar light shields back into place. The proper position of the blackMylar light shield will be flat.
5. Reconnect the power cord.
6. Print a self-test/configuration page to verify product is functioningcorrectly.
If still a problem, make sure that the tray, paper is locked in thecorrect position. Sometimes the spring in the tray can become worn out andloose. You can take that out and spread it out a little. Also, make sure thatthe tray bottom is free to move. Take out the paper and see if it goes up anddown correctly. If you don't hear the pickup roller moving or the motor runningyou may have a bad feed roller gear. There also, could be a problem with thepickup roller.

Hope this helps.

There is a paper jam...how do I unjam it

Hi dorothyhover,

Here's how you would clear paper jam from your Brother HL 1430:

1. Remove the paper cassette completely from the printer.

2.
Pull any jammed paper up and out of the printer.

3.
Open the front cover and remove the drum unit assembly.

4. Pull any jammed paper up and out of the printer.

Do not remove the drum unit assembly with additional force at this time if you cannot remove it easily. Instead, pull the edge of the jammed paper from the paper cassette.

5. Open the rear cover and pull the paper towards the back of the printer, the fuser may get dirty with toner powder and may result in toner scatter on the next printed page or pages. Print a few copies of the test page until the toner scatter on the printed pages clears.

6. Close the rear cover and install drum unit assembly, close the front cover.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

My Brother HL-2040 paper led light won't stop flashing, the paper's not jammed or anything, I just put in a new toner, too. I tried doing what someone else said about opening the cover and holding Go until...

Hi. The reasons listed in the manual that cause the LED to flash normally are:

Front cover is open
Close the front cover of the printer.
Back cover is open
Close the back cover of the printer.
Paper jam
Clear the paper jam. See Paper jams and how to clear them on page 6-5.
If the printer does not start printing, press the Go button.
No paper fed manual feed slot
Put the paper in the manual feed slot. See Printing on plain paper, bond paper
or transparencies from the manual feed slot on page 1-10 or Printing on thick
paper, labels and envelopes from the manual feed slot on page 1-13.
Memory full
The printer memory is full and the printer cannot print full pages of a
document. See Solving print problems on page 6-15.
Print overrun
A print overrun occurred and the printer cannot print full pages of a document.
See Solving print problems on page 6-15.
Drum Error
The corona wire needs to be cleaned. See Cleaning the corona wire on page 5-14.

If you check out page 6-5 it tells how to clear the paper jam from the rear of the machine! A point often missed.

Check out the website below if you don’t have a copy of the instruction manual =

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/files/dlf/doc002089/US_Eur.pdf

If all else fails, try a reset of the printer Drum & Page counter:
  1. With printer tuned on.
  2. Press and hold the “internal button” behind front cover, until all LEDs illuminate.
  3. Make sure Drum light is off, then release and close front cover.
Hope some of this helps………..Please post a response back here and let us all know if it works?............Regards, Cornwellnet (UK)

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.
