Westinghouse LTV-27w6 27 in. HDTV LCD

My westinghouse LTV-27w6 was working perfctly fine when i was watching a DVD, then when i decided to cut on the cable and watch TV the screen froze and nothing came on i tried to use the remote but the remote would not work, i was unable to cut the TV on or off, finally i decided to unplug some of the cable wires and then plug them back in but nothing happened. The ending results are the power comes on and nothing comes on the screen what should i do about this problem

Have you unplugged the set from AC power? Not just 'turn it off' but physically remove the power cord for 1 minute. Often this 'resets' internal circuitry when a 'power off' will not.

First you would have to get a service manual, this shows you all you need to know about the unit. Without it, it is very difficult to even remove the case. but once inside, it is basically a simple task, to find the drive, remove the fastenings, and the Cable, obtain an EXACT replacement HDD, and reverse the procedure, it may pay to format the HDD first, FAT32, I believe, although your manual will be more specific.

How do i remove the base of my westinghouse 42" 1080p tv now that i have decided to hang it on the wall?

You need to remove two screws in the lower back of the unit, you will then have to remove the DVD cover plate and finally 4 screws that are uncovered after you remove the cover plate. Hope this information has been usefull.

I get no picture ...tv turns on bulbs are working but I get no pic with tv or dvd and I cant see the menu or any of its properties .... but I do get sound, Thanks. The lcd tv is a westinghouse 40 inch dvd...

You need a T-con Board and I have that one for $80.00.
I reclaim working components for TV damaged in shipping or returned for other reasons. Simple repair for any body with a Philips screwdriver. NO special tools needed.

Westinghouse DVD/TV combo has no sound

i'm sorry i didn't notice the "dvd/tv combo". the dvd mech inside the tv will need to be replaced.
