27in RCA I have a 27 inch RCA TV, and for unknown reasons, it shuts down as soon as the picture is about to come up. It continues a bunch of times when it decides to completely stop again and again, til you switch it back on, it continues it's "on and then off before picture is displayed". Does anyone know how I can fix this problem, it's really irritating me. Thanks!

If model indicated here is correct either a problem in the Vertical circuit of the set or an adjustment.

Almost any shop can take the set into the service menu and adjust vertical size a bit to correct if not circuit problem.

You are reporting about the steady CC diplay problem to your set I undersnads and posts this solution. Enter the menu and sur thorugh; come to the Closed Caption menu; select CC display option and turn it to OFF if it is ON. OK.

Looks like SMPS circuit problem. Contact authorized service center.

try unplugging and plugging back in 2 minutes later. go to menu and find channel selection. scroll down to where it says channel. then using volume up and down buttons. will add or erase channel. just play with it and you will see what im talking about. go to channel 4 and press volume up. this will save channel 4 in memory. if no work, try turn on video souce and do a auto program in menu. fixed. enjoy!

how do I hook up a wii to my 27 inch rca guidegold gemstar plus. I use the inputs on the rear and can't get the tv to recognize them.

The cable running from the button on the front unplug it as soon as you get the tv to turn on it should stay on.

YOUR TV HAS A RETRACE PROBLEM,FIND THE CAPACITOR 35V/100uf,1V/10uf AND COLDSOLDER FIRST THE MAINBOARD BEFORE YOU REPLACE THE COMPONENTS.

try to check a bad conections in hv transformer and capacitor around them

Is it a Toshiba or RCA? What's the model number?? When it "stays on..." do you get a picture and audio okay??? If you continue turning it back on does the lapse in time continue to get longer????

What you Have Is a Main RCA Failure you Have a Cathode to Grid Short In your Picture Tube,The Tube shorts and Tells the Miainboard to shut Down...Good Luck
