How do I replace thermostat for 2007 Suzuki forenza

Like most motors the tstat is located under a goose neck with typically only two blots that the top radiator hose is connected to with a hose clamp, so you drain cooling system, remove top hose, remove goose neck, carefully remove tstat, take note of the direction, scrape old gasket mating areas, clean thoroughly, install new gasket, reinstall goose neck, Do not Over tighten, reinstall top radiator hose, fill system, start vehicle, turn on heat, check for leaks.....

Motobecane handlebars need tightening

If they are tuning left and right the the center bolt on the top of the goose neck will do it. If they are loose at the goose neck and moving forward and backward then you need to tight the bolt underneath at the point the bars are in the neck. If you can't tighten it anymore you have two choices but you must first determine if it is the handle bars or the goose neck that is stripped. If it is the handle bars then replace them and if it is the goose neck replace that. The other think you can do is make a shim from a piece of metal and wrap it around the bar and tighten the goose neck on that again.

How do i replace the theromstat

Follow the upper radiator hose back to where is clamped to the engine. The part that the hose clamps to is called the goose neck the t.stat is under this part. You will need to drain some coolant from the radiator not all about a QT. or so remove the upper hose clamp twist the hose to brake the seal remove the hose move to one side. Remove the two bolts that hold the goose neck down remove goose neck remove T.stat it will lift out. Clean all of the old gasket off bolth surfaces THIS IMPORTANT THE SURFACES NEED TO BE CLEAN OR YOU CAN CRACK THE NECK OR HAVE LEAKING AFTER INSTALLITION. Put the new T. stat in place put the new gasket in place you may want to use a gasket sealer it will hold the gasket in place. Put the two bolts in tighten then evenly go back and forth between them so to tighten them in stages they olny 18 ft lbs of torque DON,T TRY TO OVER TIGHTEN that is what the gasket is for reconnect your radiator hose tighten the clamp put your antifreeze back in start and check for any leaks sometimes you have to repisition the hose slightly and your done

My 454 engine is running hot and has rust colored exhaust when first started. what is the cause?

if the engine is "raw" water cooled than it is possible that the cooling passages in the manifolds, goose necks and even the block may be blocked by rust scale. Removing the goose neck from the exhaust manifold will show you if there is a rust problem developing. If the scale is in the block than it might be too late. If its "Fresh" water cooled than the same still pretains to the Exhaust manifolds and goose necks as they are raw water cooled, if there is scale in the block than it is usualy caused by not using enough anti-freeze in the heat exchanger and there will also be rust in there as well. Keep in mind that the cooling water discharges out the exhaust at the goose neck, so remove them when the boat is out of the water or if the exhaust is not below the water line.
