Question about JVC AV-32F475 32" TV

2 Answers

OverScanning??? I own a JVC AV-32F475 32" flat panel CRT and was wondering if you know where I might be able to get the tech service manulas for it. It appears to be overscanning as the verticle(top to bottom)edges of the picture are beyond the viewable area. If there are any straight lines vertically near the edges they bow in towards the center. Also, any text that is on the screen is wider that the viewable area. If there's a 1-800 number can't see the 1-80 or the other end of the number. I took off case back and rotated the rings on the CRT but did'nt notice any change and put back to factory positions. Any help/direction would be great. TIA. Bill-

I have the same problem. I read the manual, and sent an email to tech support. Kind of wondering if I need to trash the TV or is paying for a service call is worth the effort.

It sounds like a pin-cussion correction circuit failure. A tricky circuit to troubleshoot even for an experienced tech. check servicemanuals.net for info

No video on my JVC AV-30W475 30" flat screen.

It sounds like you have bad solder connections in the Vertical circuit or the horizontal circuit. The Vertical IC may need to be replaced if resoldering does not help.
You will need to call a good TV Tech for this repair.
