I have the same problem as does my neighbor. There must be a product defect here.
I cleaned the machine and filter as recommended in the manual to no avail.

I have done this and also some cycles of Lemishine. Still won't make a full pot. I unplugged the machine overnight to see if there was a reset issue. That didn't help. Machine is used lightly once per week and only filtered water. Cleaned and dried after each use. I am disappointed.I have done this and also some cycles of Lemishine. Still won't make a full pot. After getting up two or three times every morning to go downstairs and keep pushing the button, I had had enough. I filled it 1/2 full of vinegar and 1/2 full of water. This thing was either going to work or get pickled. After running it through 3-4 times, it started brewing all of the water through.

Hello. I just talked to Cuisinart and they recomended running a solution of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water through the brew cycle, then a full pot of plain water to rinse, to remove hard water deposits. The phone # to Cuisinart is 1-800-726-0190. I hope all works out for you.

Okay, try this, make sure that everything is cool first, then take a turkey baster full of hot water and vinegar and shoot it backwards through the coffee maker...where the water falls on to the grinds. After that, try running either a commercial coffee pot cleaner or just again, vinegar through the brew cycle with no coffee in there. Try it two or three times, there may be calcium buildup in the filter and pump. You could also try that CLR cleaner, but make sure you rinse the pot out really good, and run a few cycles of just water before you drink anything from it.
Loosen the charcoal filter. You only need to GENTLY place it in. Your problems will all be solved. I just did it 5 minutes ago and i just brewed a 6 cup pot of coffee completely.
Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.
This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.
Unplug for 20 minutes to fully reset, then: Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
I was having problems like this and then I read on a different string on this website that people have had success by flushing the system numerous times (sometimes up to six times) with vinegar. I took out the charcoal filter and flushed once with vinegar but only saw a small amount of improvement. I was out of vinegar so I used Lemishine mixed with water and it went from making one cup to making a full pot with one flush.
