A couple of weeks ago I cleaned the interior of my Mitsubishi VS 45607 RPTV. Cleaned the lenses, mirror, and wiped the back of the screen. I now have about seven vertical lines across the screen (kinda like dark to light, back to dark). The lines are all the same size, evenly spaced and across the whole screen and are best seen on a black image. They also disapear when the TV is not showing anything or off, so they are not streaks. I adjusted the convergence with no issues. Other than the "ghosts" the picture is great.

Pry off the lower speaker grill... Remove the screws at the lower edge of the screen framing and lift screen frame of the two catches at the top. Be careful, there will be wires still attached to the front button panel... Then lay the screen down and support the bottom of it in some way because the button panel wires won't reach all the way... then using windex and papertowel cleam the mirror and lens(s) on each of the crts. Also clean the back or inside of the screen area and reverse the process to re-mount the screen.
If you want to clean the projection lenses, you do not want to remove the cover screen to get there. That is the hard way, but you should be an experienced technician to do this correctly. Why do you think that the lenses need to be cleaned? What are you seeing on the screen to make you think that the lens needs cleaning?
