Hooking up hdmi cable from laptop to tv

This application is really not that hard to do if you have the cables, ideally you are going to want the HD stuff so you can go depending on your laptop tops resources as far as hookups. If you have HDMI hookup on the laptop you will need a long enough cable to go to your TV just hook the cables up to HDMI sources both input and output then get a split Y RCA and stereo input that will plug into the audio jack the Red and White that is all there is to it really. Go to settings and tick on connect to another monitor.


Whichever sources you have to plug in with be it audio or video you will need to match cables to TV and your laptop. There is DVI, HDTV, Standard Yellow Red & White cable and popular SVIDEO source.

Most Acer laptops have a Blue VGA Port for external monitor hookup. Does your TV aslo have such a port (most newer models should)? If so connect these and change display settings on Laptop.

The 1525has a a hdmi port which you can plug a hdmi cord into. This may not support the audio. the tv and pc should detect the new monitor automatically or you may have to toggle it by hitting F4 key.

Buy a HDMI cable.Hook up one side of the HDMI cable to ur tv HDMI Hub.The other side of the HDMI cable to ur laptop USB Hub.That it u got a connnection,now go in ur tv input pick which HDMI inputs,u put it in,example 1 to 4 HDMI Hubs.Pick the one HDMI Hub that ur laptop it hook up in.That it now u got ur LCD tv used as a monitor.

Thats because your TV is not high definition and cannot process the high def signal. serial hook up does not give a highh def signal.

sounds to me like a connection problem. If the compaqs output is vga, you need to convert the input (tv side ) to hdmi, component, s-vidio... what ever you can find. Typically when you hook up your computer to a flat screen or such, its best to try to use the hdmi ports or the rpg. But if thats not available you need to take the outout from your laptop ( whatever type that might be and input it into your flat screen tv. If you input laptop into tv under ( eg..HDMI) then when you VIEW it you need to select the correct source on your flat screen. Such as hdmi or pcmi or rpg.I know that the do sell alot of cables that adapt from one type of connection to another. Typically only one cable is required from the laptop to the flat screen. If you think about it you are only using the flat screen as a monitor.

Some DVD players can upconvert DVD signals to resolutions that match those of HDTVs, and send them to a compatible TV via a digital video connection. HDMI (High-Definition Media Interface) and DVI (Digital Visual Interface) both offer high-quality digital transmission of standard- and high-definition video signals. HDMI can also carry multichannel audio, and is backwards compatible with DVI (video only). So in other words, to receive the full benefit from an upconvert, you would want to hook it up with HDMI or DVI.
