Did you try to press the info button several times? Whatch what happens on the screen, because the camera will cycle through several views.
It is in the manual, under Changing the image information display.
Checks to make:- 1) Is there an SD card in your camera? 2) Is the SD card compatible with your camera? 3) Is the SD card write protected (Check notch top left hand corner of card) 4) Is the SD card full or nearly full? 5) Are you trying to write a file type (.raw) which is bigger than the capacity of the card or the remaining capacity on the card.
This message appears when the lens performs some unexpected operation. If the same message appears after you turn power back on please check that if there is something which blocks the motorized movement of the lens.If so clean it with cotton swabs or soft cloth. After cleaning power off and on again repeatedly two three times.
Sounds as if the memory card may be corrupted. In order to remove the write protect, make sure you have downloaded and saved all of the images from the memory card to your computer and then having the card in the camera you will need to run the format option and this will permanently remove the write protect as well as all of the images from the card.
The card should be able to be used again after the write protect is removed.
Hello, I went and researched a few points in the manual and hope this helps to some extent. If this doesn't help, try resetting your camera by removing the batteries for 30 seconds, then reinstalling them and turning on the camera again.
Monitor is blank: • Camera is off. • Batteries are not correctly inserted or battery-chamber cover is not properly latched. • Batteries are exhausted. • EH-62B AC adapter (available separately) is not properly connected. • Camera is in sleep mode. Press shutter-release button halfway. • Monitor is off. • USB cable is connected. • AV/Video cable is connected
No picture is taken when shutter release button is pressed:
• Camera is in playback mode. • Batteries are exhausted. • Red (!) lamp flickers: flash is charging. • Green (AF) lamp flickers: camera unable to focus. • Message "CARD IS NOT FORMATTED" appears in monitor: memory card is not formatted for use in your camera. • Message "OUT OF MEMORY" appears in monitor: insufficient memory to record picture at current Image mode setting.
'No Picture' usually means just that.
There are no images in the memory.
So go take some pictures.
Check you have the control to the picture taking mode and not the Viewing mode
Give the manual a good read.
