Colour distorting Hi, I turned on my tv and all the colours have distorted into a green/red/yellow fuzzy mess on the screen. When I press the TV setup all the writing comes up perfectly and without any problems but the picture is still messed up. Any Ideas? Thanks

Check no speakers are close to the tv or any other magnetic fields, speakers have to be at least 4 feet away.

Sounds to me like your digital board is bad.

Samsung LE26R7 4BD, approx 4 years old, colour distortions

Check all of your cables on the back of the tv and your sources such as Cable,Sat box and DVD palyer to make sure they are fully inserted into the input and output connectors. Some times Component cables will work loose and you end up with a missing color. Temprature changes can affect intermittant connections. If that does work then you have a bad Main bd.

Colour distortion

Your screen mask may have become magnetized. This will require that you have the CRT degaussed. This is done with the use of a degaussing coil. you have to stand about 10 feet from the TV with the coil held vertically and moving it in a circular pattern as you walk towards the tv. Once you are about 1-2 inches from the TV stop and continue the circular pattern for about a three count then backup from the tv still using the circular motion once you are about 10 feet from the tv turn the coil to a horizontal plane and move it away quickly and turn it off. This should degauss the TV and remove the color distortion.

You will need a degaussing coil to perform this task.

Pulsing screen

Are you getting this on all video outputs from the DVD? the yellow analog out + the red/blue/green + the S video? Did you try connecting a different source? a digital cable TV tuner, or another DVD player? sometimes DVD players get screwed on some outputs, while the rest stay fine. I have a DVD that has an analog video out that shows an only black and white picture, while the red/blue/green works fine. Good luck
