HP Solution Center No HP Devices Detected

Printer works fine, but the HP solution Center always shows - No HP Devices Detected, and says it will close now.

It all worked fine and then all of a sudden, this error message starting showing up and I don't know how to fix it, so I can scan and copy to HP laptop

HP Laptop gives the No HP Devices error message.

Printer screen reads " No scan options, refer to device documentation to troubleshoot."

I wanted to clarify my printer/scanner problem.

When I select the icon for HP Solution Center on my desk top, my screen goes black momentarily and then I receive the message, ''No HP devices have been detected. HP Solution Center will close now.'' This...

First of all make sure the printer is connected to the computer and turned on.
Hp Solution Center, check SETTINGS and look for printers. Is your Printer listed there? I have a feeling that the name of the printer is not showing. If that is the case, you may have to reinstall the software.

No HP Devices have been detected. Solutions Center will now close.

It may happen if you are using HP Scanjet 5590 scnaner on windows XP. I suggest you to completely uninstlal the scanner software and then install the version 9.0 from the below link. It is the updated version for Vista but work on XP system..

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15179&prodSeriesId=377689&prodNameId=377691&swEnvOID=2093&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=sj-49436-1

Also, please connect the scanner only when it prompts to do so.
Hope it will work and 5590 scanner works with XP.

Unistall the software you have for it now. Go to HP.com and look for Vista drivers for your printer.
