Motorzor Hi! My phone won´t turn on, I thought I had just drained the battery but when I plugged it in to charge, the screen display said it is charging and that the battery was full but the phone still didn´t turn on. The screen is fine when it´s charging because it does display information, the phone just won´t turn on.

I NEED MY PHONE TO TURN ON. IT POWERS UP AND SHOWS THERE IS NO BATTERY CHARGE AND KEEPS BLINKING "SAMSUNG", BUT WON'T GO ANY FURTHER THAN THAT. I PUT THE BATTERY IN ANOTHER PHONE THINKING I FRIED THE BATTERY, BUT IT WORKS FINE AND I WAS ABLE TO TURN AN OLDER PHONE ON TO USE UNTIL I FIGURE THIS PHONE OUT.

You simply fried your battery by overcharging it. Just get a new one, let it fully charge and fully die twice before you start normal charging. Then you will want to only charge it for about 2 to 3 hours or find a charger that has a smart chip that tells it when to stop charging once the battery is full.

Thanks, Matt! Please explain process and what's needed (ie: charger) expressed in your second sentence.

My 2004 Honda Pilot ran fine then a hour later won't start. At first thought battery so we charged up usig one of those chargers you plug in. Lights flicker, and clicking sounds but won't turn

Check batry terminals are secure & free from corosion, check security of earth strap to engine & main power wire on starter, if ok have the batry load tested to ensure it can perform under load as the starter needs a lot of current. Have you tried a jump start?

I phone wont turn on

Hello,

This will happen when the battery has become completely drained. Plug it into the wall using the A/C adapter and allow it to charge for a while. If it still won't power on, hold the sleep button (on top of the phone) and the home button for about 5-6 seconds for a soft reset. When you plug it in you should see the symbol of a drained battery on the screen as it charges up.

My HTC keeps freezing and then shuts off and it won't turn .. I have to plug it in my charger and I'm about five minutes it turns on

I would delete any live widgits off your desktops such as facebook or myspace etc. It constantly drains the battery and working with phones I have had it actually drain the battery faster than it can charge. If the charge is not the problem I would, while the phone is turned on, remove the battery...this is a soft reset and can fix most issues with freezing.

The battery drains far too quickly on my Samsung G600 (have tried new batteries but same problem). Any idea what is causing the power drain?

In many instances, some phones run a lot of applications in the background unfortunately, in most cases of a fast battery drain, it is due to high screen brightness or a long screen time-out. Try turning down your screen brightness to a lower setting (one which you can still see without straining) and check to see how long your screen turns off. Some phones default to 30 secs or 1 minute. Use a lower setting if possible.

Also, cell phone batteries are lithium batteries. At first use and then on a periodic basis, try draining the battery until the phone will no longer turn on and only then plug your charger in. If you plug the charger in before it is dead the battery will not be used to its fullest capacity. Hope this helps!

Phone was dead says battery charged...power off why wont it work

If the phone charges the battery as it is displayed on the screen when a charger is plugged in but does not power on, the power button/switch is faulty. Have it checked and replaced by a qualified technician.
If the phone doesn't charge the battery, the battery is probably drained or dead. To verify, grab a voltmeter and check the battery voltage. Set the selector knob to 10V DC. Voltage reading of less than 3 volts indicates the battery is drained or dead. Use a known good battery.
If the battery is good but the phone still does not turn on, it is dead and have it checked by a qualified technician.

Screen shows battery with a red line through it

This usually means the bb and battery got a little wet or has other issues. Try these solutions in order. They go from easisest to hardest. NOTE: If you have an insurance policy on the bb probably best just to take it in.

1. Remove the back cover. Remove the battery and the SIM card. Wait 30 seconds. Replace SIM, battery and back cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

2. If that doesn't work, allow the bb to remain unplugged but ON for about 24 hours to drain the battery. Remove back cover and battery. Allow battery and opened bb to sit in a dry environment for 24 - 36 hours. Relace battery and cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

3. If that fails retry step 2 but allow battery to FULLY drain then dry out again.

4. Take in.
