Makita charger DC18RC i need electrical scheme or D14 diode value .

The Makita DC18RC charger is equipped with a diode labeled D14 that helps regulate the voltage. It is a 1N4007 diode, which is a 1-Amp, 1000-Volt diode. You can find the electrical schematic for the DC18RC charger online with a quick search.

What is the zener volt

I'm not sure what your question is. A zener diode is a voltage regulator of sorts. The zener voltage is the avalanche voltage...the voltage that the zener diode will maintain when it's connected in series with an impedance, usually a resistor, IF the voltage across the zener diode and the impedance, in series, is greater than the avalanche voltage (zener voltage), and the polarity of the voltage across the zener diode is thus: positive cathode, negative anode (i.e., reverse bias). The excess voltage (the margin) appears across the impedance. Zeners are often used as voltage reference diodes in regulated power supplies. Does this answer your question?

My hitachi 29in ctv power supply 110vac had a problem on zener diode will blown if we switch on the tv. what spare parts to change so that the power supply zener diode will not blown again and the supply...

The secondary output voltage comes out from is more than it should be there. That is why, the protection zener diode blows off, as soon as you switch ON the set. First find and repair the power supply regulator, for correct output voltage. Refer its repair book for details. After repair include the zener diode in place. OK.

Ziener diode

Yes, Zener diodes can work both on forward and reverse biasing. The primary difference between a zener diode and the ordinary junction diode is it is designed specifically to operate with a reverse bias voltage that is high enough to cause the the device to breakdown and conduct a high reverse current. Hope this answers your question and provides you with some help. If you need further assistance please let me know.

If you do not mind, would you please rate my help. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks

Humminbird fishfinder keeps blowing 5v fuses .Power ok to base but as soon as you attach fishfinder fuse blows

Hi,

Most probable component that has gone bad and capable of blowing the 5V fuse would be:
  • voltage regulator IV or transistor;
  • reverse protection diode;
  • zener diode;
  • shorted capacitor.
As the 5VDC normally supplies the logic circuitry, perhaps diagnosis and tests should be focused within that area.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Fuse ,zener diodes keep blowing.....

hey eriez

if your familiar with repairing tvs, this aint that hard. just locate the blown fuse and the zener diode. and look for scalded and burnt component parts as well....

unfortunately, there is no free service manual found on the net today for your JVC CA-V808t... however, there are lots of sites that sell them though..

any thoughts that you want ... just post it here...
