When I try and start the dryer it will not stay on. It will run if I hold the start button down but will not continue to run once I let go.
Your problem is usually associated with the small micro-computer board located inside the control panel. You can access the inside of the control panel by following these simple steps: 1. Unplug machine. 2. Remove the end caps of the console. This can be done by inserting a flat blade screw driver into a groove at the top of each end cap on the back of the console and lifting up slightly. The end cap should just pop loose. 3. After the end caps are out of the way, loosen the two philips screws on each side of the console. 4. Once loosened, the console should flip back by pulling slightly towards you, then up. Inspect the control board for burned components. Even if you don't see anything obvious, the board could still be bad. I still recommend replacing it. I have repaired this problem before and it had nothing to do with the start switch. Good luck. I hope this helps you.
