I have a very simliar problem, i found a way around it by changing a seeting in the advanced options. somehow, my horizontral position was changed from wahtever the default was to 88, which set it too far to the left. set it back to 50 and while the image was good, the menu is still in the oddly placed area....oh well....hopefully it's not the bulb, i just changed the damn thing less than a year ago

Problem with sony 60" rear projection TV

Hi,
I'm afraid, it is problem of optical block unit (light engine) that produce picture by 3 lcds inbuilt, the blue lcd and its related uv filters become defective and causing this kind of blue hue on screen.
Complete optical unit block (light engine) will be replaced by qualified tech to get tv fixed, light engine is costly part so ask an estimate before sending tv in.
Thanks.

We have an InFocus LP70+. we have had a dark strip along the right side of the projected image. That dark strip has spread across so that now we only have a strip of the image along the left side. Not sure...

the light tunnel (integrator rod) has collapsed and needs to be replaced. you could either buy the part from an infocus service center or send it in to one for repair. it is, however, a pretty involved repair. if you are mechanically inclined, then try it. otherwise, send it in. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

Dark band on left side, Samsung HL-R5668W

the reflecting mirror is likely loose and falling down inside the light reflecting tube. you should have seen the band getting darker and larger,
the small mirror is in front of the lamp and bends the light,
remove the lamp and look down the tube (light path)

RCA D52W20 52" TV AUTO CONVERGENCE WON'T COMPLETE

Sounds like your convergence chip has gone bad. Usually costs about $300-$400 to fix. I would call a local TV repair shop and let them give you a free estimate.

Samsung DLP HLR5668W has mostly dark picture + grinding noise

Pix looks like a light pipe issue, inside the Light Engine. as far as the shutting down, could be a bad fan causing the grinding and when stopps the DMD turns the set off.

Picture separated on 1/2 of screen

This sounds like a convergence problem. This is a common problem that is usually fixed 98% of the time by re-placing the STK392-020 ic or STK392-110, and check the fuse devices on the covergence PCB. I'm sure the actual parts numbers depend on the peticular brand. Good Luck!
