Great speakers when they work. But it seems these days they don't. Seems to be something to do with the power supply but internal to the speakers. They have been used with a creative mp3/video player for a short while and then lost all ability to entertain. Definately not the mp3 player that works fine with other computer speakers. The power supply cable and transformer (I think that's the word) work because we can charge the mp3 player with that. The speakers were purchased while in a stopover somewhere in asia making warrenty type actions a touch hard. Any suggestions.

Ir you are lucky it will be your power supply that's gone dead. Use a volt meter to see if the power supply is working or try to find a power supply with the same characteristics (voltage, polarity and amperage). If that doesn't work, the amplifier may be busted. If so you'll need new speakers.
Did you check the input? as in the plug that goes into the computer itself? Try plugging it into something else like an ipod or other source to see if it works correctly. You've done great in checking it internally, and it's not likely that the circuit board would go bad...let me know
It must be a power adapator problem. Most of the power adaptors do not have a indicator to show you if its working. Is the power indicator on the subwoofer module working if not I am right about the adaptor.
Hi, my name is John. try putting a external speaker in back of radio and see what happens, might need to replace internal speaker, or something internal. Let me know, I will post the process here......Hope this was helpful..
Sounds like the grounds are screwed up. Try using a grounded wire for the subwoofer input. If that doesn't work, it sounds like something is internally screwed up, like the power supply doesn't fully power down. I guess besides buying a new amp, just connect it to a power strip where the switch is accesable and shut the sub off with the power supply.
